President's Call to Service Award 2012

President's Call of Service Award The President's Call to Service Award is awarded by the President of the United States to people who have completed more than 4,000 hours of community service. It is the highest level of the President's Volunteer Service Award. The President's Council on Service and Civic Participation, which administers the award, was established within the Corporation for National and Community Service through a 2003 executive order by President George W. Bush. The President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) is the premier volunteer awards programm, encouraging citizens to live a life of service through presidential gratitude and national recognition. The award is offered is four categories depending on amount of service, including Bronze, Silver, Gold and the "President's Call to Service Award" (referred to as the "President's Lifetime Achievement Award"). Depending on the level of service, awardees may receive a personalized certificate, an official pin, medallion, and/or a congratulatory letter from the President. Prof. D. Jain has been honored with the highest level "President's Call to Service Award" in year 2012 with appreciation letter signed by Barak Obama, 44th President of the United States.

Gates & Custodian Person of the Year Award Gates & Custodian Person of the Year Award Prof. (Dr.) Deepak Jain received the Gates and Custodian Person of the Year 2013 in 'Academic Research' category at India Islamic Culture Centre, Lodhi Road. This award was collaboratively conferred upon Dr. Jain by Gates ETH Foundation - India and Custodian Media Group - U.K.. The awards are the result of private initiative and the desire of the cultural, social and community support. This award was given to honor the person who is characterized by directness, openness, humanity and tolerance. “Gates & Custodian Person of the Year” is a riser who has shown the will to achieve outstandingly for the community & environment. The selection of the “Person of the Year” involved an in-depth process of an independent panel of judges, who were carefully selected to ensure the process was fair and objective. The jury was made up of internationally recognized and respected judges from a variety of industry sectors and disciplines. The Chief Guest for the event was Ms. Mohsina Kidwai, MP, Rajyasabha. The Guests of Honor for the Evening included Mr. Safdar H Khan Chairman, Delhi Minorities Commission; Ms. Rati Agnihotri, Filmstar and Mr. Sushant Singh, Filmstar.
